This was the single biggest media week for us so far.  I was asked to represent our ticketing startup TicketCake.com on a weekly podcast hosted by the infamous tech entrepreneur Jason Calacanis called This Week in Startups. This show has an estimated 100,000 downloads each week and is watched by many of Silicon Valleys top angel investors.

We really worked hard to prepare for this show but I had no idea it would go off as well as it did. I was given 60 seconds to pitch our startup. Then Jason and the chat room all gave a 1-10 rating for our pitch and our idea.

We absolutely crushed it. Jason ended the pitch by clapping and calling it a perfect 10/10, something I have never seen before. Later he would adjust his score to a 10/9 but never the less it was more than we could have hoped for.

This near perfect score led to an invite to the Open Angel Forum in New York on the 15th to meet with a group of high profile investors including Brian Alvey and Charlie O'Donnel.

Joe, Jackie and I still feel it's a little premature to celebrate because we still have lots of work to do.  But that did not stop Joe from buying a bottle of champagne for the fridge. If all goes well maybe we can open that bottle on October 15th!
